Regarded as the ‘gold standard’, Plushwalk 12mm is (by far) the best carpet underlay currently available. And it seems our customers agree, as it was our no.1 best-selling product of 2022.
Made from a unique ‘bounce back’ memory foam, this impressive underlay excels in terms of its comfort levels, durability and performance.

2. Royale Sonic Gold 5mm Underlay
Admittedly, when it comes to the ‘best laminate underlay’, our first recommendation is Royale 7mm Professional Sonic Gold Underlay.
However, priced at £7.98 per m2, this does fall a little on the expensive side. Which is why, Royale Sonic Gold 5mm is actually the best-seller in our ‘wood and laminate’ range and our overall second best-selling product of 2022.
By comparison, this costs just £1.98 per m2 – making it a lot more budget-friendly. Yet it’s still a high-performance underlay, with many fantastic features and properties.

5. Royale LVT Vinyl Click Flooring Underlay
Luxury vinyl tiles (LVT) have boomed in popularity over the last couple of years. Which means, in turn, LVT underlay has increased in popularity too. And this one has become a firm favourite.
Manufactured from impact-resistant toughened foam, with a silver foil backing, it boasts a range of great properties – reducing noise by up to 20dB, providing excellent thermal insulation and protecting the LVT from dampness.
Available for £3.60 per m2, this is by far the best underlay for LVT click flooring – notably improving its final look and feel and extending its lifespan, whilst also being superb value for money.
